I am Stathis Angelakopoulos
a web developer from Athens Greece
I started getting into computers from the age of 10 when i found myself reading computer magazines and trying to understand the code explaining segments there when i did not even own a computer. Later on i got my hands in a used 386 PC and started digging in deeper, learning BASIC and writing my first simple programs. I eventually drifted away to pursue a career in sound enginering as music and its production is another passion of mine. That did not pan out so great so after the economic crisis i started getting into programming again. I read many books, took online courses and learned how to make websites using HTML5 and CSS3. I continued delving further in learning Javascript and Jquery. Lately i started using PHP and experimented with OOP. The last online course i took got me using Laravel to structure a website with many users, posts and similar functionalities...

I helped a friend of mine with this one pager, written from scratch using Bootstrap and a small touch of Javascript. I got the chance to do my first design cut, using a basic custom design, a fellow designer did.

Using a blank Elementor theme, I built my first Wordpress site as a way of understanding how themes in Wordpress actually work and what it takes to do small edits & customisations. I also had the chance to dive a bit deeper in the Google Maps API and see how things work with a 3rd party service.
